This site is a diary of the build of a very special bodied Caterham 7, panelled completely in "Carbon-bits.com" carbon by Richard (RiF) for his wife Henrietta.

Thanks to Caterham Cars for a car that works straight out of the box. Started first time, passed SVA without any problems and drives beautifully.

A special thanks to Steve at SP Components who did a superb job on the gearbox with an upgrade for a long first gear, plus for saving me a possible problem by spotting a fault and rebuilding the box. Gearbox feels really great and the longer first is a huge improvement.
